The Elevation Wine Fund, a limited partnership, is organized under the laws of the state of Delaware
USA for the sole purpose of managing investment in fine wine.
The Fund intends to seek returns that exceed the Dow Jones Industrial Average by investing in
marquee brand, highly rated fine wines predominately from Bordeaux, but also from regions such as
Burgundy, the Rhone Valley and California. The focus will be on wines which are review-rated and
which EWF identifies as in demand and readily tradable. The Fund will seek quality wines from good
vintages and from proven producers who make quality wines with a history of aging well. The Fund
will acquire and store these wines in anticipation of increasingly limited future availability and
increasing demand.
Wine will typically be purchased from secondary sources where EWF believes provenance can be
established within strict quality and acquisition guidelines throughout the world. Elevation Wine
Fund will also consider en primeur purchasing from select producers in select vintages.
The investment style is derived from the coupling of in-depth wine knowledge with financial market
discipline to manage risk. Elevation Wine Fund has undertaken extensive research into the fine
wine market, which has shown that historically the target returns are realistic. In addition to
applying market expertise and resources, rated reviews from multiple sources will be used. The
prices paid for wine will be assessed by the managers in the context of their pricing history, current
market and the forecast for future growth. Particular attention will be paid to regional market
discrepancies, consumer market trends and vintage cycles that create buying and selling
opportunities.
